Writing Rockstars:

A handwriting and visual motor skills class for ages 5-8

Join us for a group focused on improving handwriting and visual-motor skils un a fun, cooperative environment, led by an occupational therapist.  We will work on the skills needed for good handwriting, including hand strength, fine motor skills, vusual skills, and overall body coordination.  Our class will use a variety of games, exercises, and activites to help keep interest high while improving skills.

Summer 2021 Group for ages 5-8 will meet starting Tuesday, June 15th at 1:30pm for 50 minutes and run for 4 weeks (June 15, 22, 29 and July 6th ).

Talk Time:

An articulation/phonology group for ages 4-6

Does you child have trouble saying certain sounds?  Is he or she difficult to understand?  Does he or she currently receive therapy in school to address articulation/phonology?  If so, this group will provide a fun and engaging setting to practice and develop these skills.

Summer 2021 session of Talk Time will meet once per week between June 30th and August 4th.

Toddler Talk:

A Social-Communication Play Group for 2-3 year olds

Do you have concerns related to your child’s speech and social skills? Do you want an opportunity for your child to work on their communication and social skills with same aged-peers?

Toddler Talk provides a learning environment that facilitates play skills, social interaction and communication skills for the 2 and 3 year old age group through both structured and non-structured activities. A licensed speech language pathologist will work with your child on increasing use of their communication skills and social interactions with their peers all while playing and having fun! The following areas will be specifically addressed each week:

• Turn-taking
• Making requests
• Sharing with peers
• Increasing vocabulary

Fun, Food & Friends!

A Feeding Group for Ages 18 months to 4 years

This group is designed to help children improve their acceptance of new and/or undesired foods as well as improve their oral motor feeding skills in order to develop age appropriate feeding skills. The group will be run by a licensed Speech Language Pathologist and will be tailored to meet each child’s individual needs. The therapist will be incorporating various sensory and oral-motor activities into each session through fun and engaging songs and games. The group setting gives the added benefit of learning through peer interaction. This is a great group for both picky eaters and problem feeders!

Superflex Social Skills Group

A Social Thinking group for Kindergarten to 2nd grade

Does your child talk only about his or her interests with friends? Do they become easily frustrated over small problems or have difficulty with personal space? If the answer is yes, this group is for you! Kids will learn social thinking vocabulary and concepts through Michelle Garcia Winner’s Supeflex curriculum. Kids will learn about Superflex and defeating their Unthinkables, the characters that represent different ways our brain has not-so flexible thinking in social situations. This group is run by a licensed speech language pathologist.

Sensory Explorers

A sensory exploration groups for ages 2-3 / 4-5

Join us for a fun time of sensory exploration including art, physical activity, games, and a snack.  Children will work in a small group with an occupational therapist to use touch, smell, taste, sight, and sound to discover sensory preferences, try new things, and have a great time together!
